Lost and Found: 15 years of the 2.D.K. LAB

A retrospective gallery show of original works by local name writers and DC Urban Arts Academy students. Lost and Found will feature graffiti on found and rescued objects including home furnishings as well as sculpture, original photography, film, model trains and woodwork. Also on display will be new works by legendary graffiti icon Cool “Disco” Dan and early works by the ominous Borf, courtesy of the curator, Cory L. Stowers. On view one week only, August 14th - 21st.
Opening Tonight! Friday, August 14th
7:00pm - 10:00pm
The opening celebration is a free, all-ages event with sounds provided by DJ SMK and a live b-boy demonstration by local dance legend, Toyz Are Us, and his b-boy students from the DC Urban Arts Academy. An after-party will be held at Almaz Café, located at 1212 U Street N.W., and will be hosted by DJ R.B.I. and feature DJs SMK and Cramski. In addition, there will be a live performance by noon:30! Admission to the after-party is $10 dollars and you must be 21 to enter. This is a fund-raising event for the DC Urban Arts Academy.
